Submission Guidelines
- The Annals of Business and Quantitative Economics (ABQE) welcomes original and high-quality contributions in business, economics, accounting, finance, statistics, insurance, and related quantitative fields. Authors should ensure that their manuscripts are academically sound, clearly written, ethically prepared, and within the journal’s aims and scope.
- All research and review articles considered for publication undergo a single-blind peer-review process and are evaluated by at least two independent external expert reviewers. Authors are encouraged to consult the journal’s Peer Review Process and Publication Ethics policies before submission.
- There are no fixed word limits. Manuscripts should provide sufficient theoretical, methodological, empirical, or analytical detail to allow readers to understand and, where applicable, reproduce or independently verify the reported results.
Types of Publications
- Research Article. Original research that makes a substantive theoretical, empirical, methodological, quantitative, or applied contribution within the journal’s scope. The contribution should be clearly demonstrated through appropriate theoretical development, empirical analysis, quantitative investigation, real-world application, or other relevant evidence.
- Review Article. A comprehensive and critical synthesis of the literature that evaluates the current state of knowledge, identifies important developments and research gaps, compares relevant theoretical, empirical, or methodological approaches, and provides directions for future research.
1) Scope (for fit checks)
- ABQE welcomes contributions across four interconnected subject areas: Economics and Econometrics; Accounting and Finance; Business and Management; and Business Statistics and Insurance.
- The journal covers macroeconomics and microeconomics; monetary and fiscal policy; international and development economics; applied econometrics; accounting and auditing; corporate finance and financial markets; strategic and organizational management; marketing and business analytics; statistical modeling and inference; forecasting and predictive analytics; actuarial science; insurance and risk analysis; and related quantitative and interdisciplinary areas.

3) Originality and Preprints
- Manuscripts submitted to ABQE must represent original work and must not have been previously published or be simultaneously under consideration by another journal.

- Authors are responsible for appropriately citing and disclosing any closely related manuscripts, preprints, or publications that may overlap substantially with the submitted work.
4) Peer Review (Single-Blind)
- All research and review articles undergo single-blind peer review.
- Each manuscript proceeding to peer review is evaluated by at least two independent external expert reviewers with relevant subject expertise.
- Reviewers remain anonymous to the authors, while the identities of the authors are disclosed to the reviewers.
- Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, research expertise, and experience, with careful consideration given to avoiding conflicts of interest.
- Authors may suggest or identify reviewers they prefer not to review their manuscript; however, the editors retain full discretion over reviewer selection.
- The assigned Section Editor evaluates the reviewers’ reports and provides an editorial recommendation. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the final editorial decision.
- Further details are provided in the journal’s Peer Review Process.
